The year was 2000, and the internet had been in India for only five years then. Only major cities had their own websites. A small town, which was a municipality back then in Salem district, Attur had its own website — www.attur.org

A single man created hundreds of pages and maintained the website for more than twenty years, continuously adding local news, weather reports, articles, and public information that was not easily available, eventually moving the site to www.attur.in

Now, the creator rests, and so does the website.
